Who We Are

We represent a network of over 90 partnerships.

Thank you for your interest in the Cuba Partners Network. We are an organization of the Presbyterian Church (USA), including those congregations and presbyteries of other US Reformed denominations who are seeking to explore partnership with or are in partnership with the Presbyterian Church in Cuba.

Organized over thirty years ago by member congregations, the Cuba Partners Network hopes this website will give you an overview of who we are, what we do and how you can get involved.

We represent a network of over 90 partnerships.

The Cuba Partners Network has a long and rich history of encouraging and supporting vital partnerships between Presbyterian Reformed denominations, primarily the Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA) and the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Cuba (IPRC).

Prior to 1985, all official “mission partnership” relations between the Presbyterian Church in the USA and the Presbyterian Church in Cuba were at the denominational level. That changed with the negotiation of a joint Mutual Mission Agreement in 1985.

The Cuba Partners Network advances, promotes and helps coordinate doing life together with our brothers and sisters in the Cuban church through ministry partnerships with the Presbyterian Reformed Churches in Cuba. We encourage thoughtful consideration, conversation, prayer and reflection on the relationships between our churches, our governments and our peoples.

The Presbyterian Church in the United States and the Presbyterian Reformed Church in Cuba continue to teach each other what it means to encourage each other to follow Christ in our homes and where we live, work and play.

We sincerely invite you to consider joining us in this response to what we discern as God’s calling to us.

 Recent Developments

Recent developments and evolving diplomatic relations between the US and Cuba have brought into focus a new climate and renewed purpose for the Network. With these changes come both new blessings and new challenges. We believe that perhaps now, more than ever, we have a prophetic calling to walk with our brothers and sisters in the churches in Cuba.
